About the Booster Club

Where engineering, teamwork, and student leadership come together

Rebel Robotics Booster Club, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Rebel Robotics, FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2638, at Great Neck South High School. We help fund competitions, equipment, fabrication materials, travel, student training, outreach, mentorship, and team-building activities.

Founded in 2007, Rebel Robotics began competing as FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2638 in 2008. Today, the team operates like a varsity team, engineering lab, and leadership incubator, open to students ready to learn, build, and lead.

Mission

Helping students learn, build, and lead

STEM Education

Hands-on engineering, programming, CAD, fabrication, electronics, safety, and project management.

2026 Season

What a season for Team 2638

Rebel Robotics earned Excellence in Engineering at the FIRST Long Island Regional and again at the Rocket City Regional in Huntsville, Alabama, where the team also finished as Regional Finalists.
